APEL Procedure

APEL or Accreditation of Prior Experiential Learning is a procedure that enables the matured learners to receive formal recognition for skills and knowledge they already possess that have not been previously assessed or awarded qualifications. If the learners chose to undertake the APEL module, his/her prior learning and professional experiences can be formally recognized.

Under the formal request to the university administration, the potential leaner has to provide the following documented records:

  • Most up-to-date Curriculum Vitae
  • Motivation letter
  • All certified copies of your previous education (transcripts, diplomas and other relevant documents)
  • Two recommendation letters from employers or academic institutions

The evaluation takes about two weeks before an official decision can be made by the academic council.
