Learning Methods

A flexible approach to learning in which the learner is neither tied down to fixed start dates nor time limits. There will be no specific courses, but learners will be assigned with relevant books and journal articles by his/her assigned tutor (professor)

Our programs are based on written projects being thesis or dissertations. And most of our tutor-to-learner guidance are done through e-mails, Skype and other related internet technologies. The learner tailors their own curriculum with the guidance of our renowned Professors. There are no exams or required courses.

  •   Once the learner is admitted into the program and enrolls in a course or courses, IIAS will appoint an experienced professor in learner’s interested area of studies to guide the candidate throughout the entire program.
  •   For learners, it is between him/her with the appointed professor to discuss the assignments or written thesis/dissertation.
  •   Each learner will be required to send a CV that will enable IIAS to allocate the most suitable professor based on nearness to the learner and other factors.
  •   Progressively, the learner will send his final project to the specific professor for grading and to be copied also to the university administration.

Cycle of Knowledge Development

We have developed a standardized cycle of knowledge development, which entitles each of our learners to follow. Institute’s tutorial based supervision programs are based on three unique pillars.

Prepare-Present-Practice-Check (PPPC)

The method is psychologically and academically proven to help students to gain in depth of the knowledge that is taught and acquired through distance learning methods.

Prepare: Student Prepare What needs to be Delivered.

Preparing through reading and researching the topic that is going to be delivered. This step helps students to gain a self-awareness of the stuff that is going to be taught.

Present: Materials given by the lecturer.

Through online or phone lectures or PPT presentation. Students will acquire what is essential of the knowledge they must acquire.

Practice: Case and scenario study and workshop.

This is done through discussion either online or offline by phone with the individual tutor/s assigned to them.

Check: To access how well the materials are digested by the student Quiz, homework assignment or research papers.
