IIAS was a spinoff of the World Development Organization, which can be traced back to 1997. Then under the recommendations of the governments of Romania, Guinea Bissau, Bosnia and Andorra: International Development Organization was born under the leadership of Prof. Dr. Wolfgang Rabe (1962-2013). Through the expansion of organization’s international network, Dr. Rabe saw there was a need to validate the life experience and previous learning that many of the higher qualified professionals in business, politics and sciences may have. Thus these individual in turn can achieve more milestones in their lives and careers. This gives the early evolution of the IIAS. Later on, the university was established in London under the name “London college of higher education” with the help of UN advisor of education Professor Paul Klever.
